1. Introduction and Scope

Richards-Wilcox (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. Richards-Wilcox Conveyor is a division of Richards-Wilcox. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit rwconveyor.com (the “Site”), how we use and disclose it, and the choices and rights you have regarding that information.

This policy applies to information we collect through the Site. It does not apply to information collected offline, through channels other than this Site, or by third parties whose services are linked from the Site but who operate under their own privacy policies.

Our online store operates separately at shop.rwconveyor.com. Information you provide there is governed by the privacy policy published on that store.

By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

2. Categories of Personal Information We Collect

Over the past twelve months we have collected the following categories of personal information, as those categories are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

3. How We Collect Personal Information

Information you give us directly. You provide personal information when you complete a contact, quote or inquiry form; subscribe to communications; or contact us by email or telephone.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site we automatically collect information about your device and browsing activity through cookies, web beacons, pixel tags and similar technologies. This may include your IP address and approximate location, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring URL, the pages you visit and time spent on them, and your interactions with Site content.

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from marketing partners, analytics providers, trade-show and event organizers, and publicly available business sources.

4. Third-Party Tools and Service Providers

We use the following third-party services, each of which receives or processes personal information. Each operates under its own privacy policy.

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager

We use Google Analytics, deployed via Google Tag Manager, to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools collect your IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, session duration and referring URL. Google processes this data on our behalf and may also use it for its own purposes in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.

You may opt out of Google Analytics on any website by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or you may decline Analytics cookies using the cookie preference tool on this Site.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)

When you submit a form on the Site, and as you browse the Site, information is collected and processed through Pardot, a marketing automation platform operated by Salesforce. Pardot collects the information you submit — such as name, email address, telephone number and company — and sets persistent cookies that record your activity across visits. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, to score and segment leads, and to send you marketing communications where you have agreed to receive them.

Salesforce’s privacy statement is available at salesforce.com/company/privacy.

Business Identification and Advertising Identity Services

We use several services that identify the organization a visitor belongs to, and that link activity on our Site to advertising identifiers. These services process the IP address of every visitor, and some assign a persistent identifier to your browser.

Company identification. We use Lead Forensics, Demandbase. These services match your IP address against proprietary business databases to identify the company associated with it, and may return information about that company including its name, address, industry, size, revenue band and corporate parent. If you visit the Site on behalf of a business, your employer may be identified through this process. These services identify organizations rather than individuals by name, but they process IP addresses and assign persistent browser identifiers, both of which may constitute personal information under applicable law.

Advertising identity resolution. We use LiveRamp, LiveIntent and Kochava, which link browser and device identifiers across websites to support advertising measurement and targeting.

Under the California Privacy Rights Act, our use of these services constitutes “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt out — see Section 8, or use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of every page.

Each service operates under its own privacy policy: leadforensics.com/privacy · demandbase.com/privacy-policy · liveramp.com/privacy · liveintent.com/privacy-policy · kochava.com/support-privacy.

Advertising Pixels

We use Google Ads remarketing to measure our advertising and to show you our advertisements on other websites. This sets cookies and shares information about your visit with Google.

Social Media Platforms

Our website includes links to, and in places content embedded from, social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube. Where such content is embedded, these platforms may set their own cookies and collect data about your visit in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Jetpack (Automattic)

We use Jetpack, a WordPress service operated by Automattic, for site statistics and security. Jetpack sets cookies and transmits visit data, including IP address, to Automattic. Automattic’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy.

Cloudflare

We use Cloudflare to deliver and secure the Site. Cloudflare sets strictly necessary cookies (including __cf_bm and cf_clearance) to distinguish human visitors from automated traffic and to protect against malicious activity. These cookies are essential to the operation of the Site and cannot be declined.

Cloudflare also provides Web Analytics (Cloudflare Insights), which measures page performance and aggregate visit counts. It does not set cookies and does not track you across other websites.

Other Service Providers

Adobe Fonts (Typekit). We use Adobe Fonts to serve typefaces. Adobe receives your IP address when fonts are loaded.

Google reCAPTCHA. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish human visitors from automated submissions. reCAPTCHA collects device and interaction information, which Google processes under its own privacy policy. It is required for our forms to function and cannot be declined.

5. Why We Use Your Personal Information

We use personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries, quote requests
  • To provide customer service and technical support
  • To send marketing communications about our products and services, where permitted or where you have agreed to receive them
  • To understand how visitors use the Site and to improve its content, navigation and performance
  • To measure the effectiveness of our advertising and marketing
  • To detect, prevent and respond to fraud, security incidents and misuse
  • To comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations

We do not use your personal information for any purpose that is materially different from, or incompatible with, the purposes described here without first providing you notice.

6. How We Disclose Your Personal Information

In the preceding twelve months we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for a business purpose:

We also disclose personal information where we are required to do so by law, by court order, or by a governmental or regulatory authority; where necessary to protect our legal rights, safety or property; and to a purchaser or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. However, our use of analytics and advertising services described in Section 4 may constitute “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). You have the right to opt out — see Section 8.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, grouped into four categories:

  • Strictly Necessary — required for the Site to function, including security, load balancing, session management. These cannot be declined.
  • Functional — remember your preferences, such as language or region.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the Site is used, so we can improve it.
  • Marketing — used to deliver advertising relevant to you and to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, including across other websites.

You can accept or decline any non-essential category using the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie preferences control available on every page.

Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking Strictly Necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Site from working.

8. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the following rights.

Right to Know. You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources from which it was collected, the business or commercial purpose for collecting or sharing it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.

Right to Data Portability. Where you request the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, we will provide it in a portable format that is readily usable and allows you to transmit it to another entity without hindrance, where technically feasible.

Right to Delete. You may request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to the exceptions permitted by law — for example, where we need the information to complete a transaction, comply with a legal obligation, or detect security incidents.

Right to Correct. You may request that we correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

Right to Opt Out of Sale or Sharing. We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. We do share certain information with analytics and advertising partners, which may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CPRA. You may opt out at any time using the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer of every page, or by contacting us using the details below.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information. We do not collect or process sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger this right. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide the required mechanism.

Right to Non-Discrimination. We will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, provide a different level of quality, or otherwise discriminate against you because you exercised any of these rights.

Global Privacy Control. We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or extension sends a GPC signal, we will treat it as a request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for that browser, with no further action needed from you.

How to Submit a Request

Submit a request in any of these ways:

  • Email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request”
  • Call 800-253-5668 (toll-free)
  • Write to 600 South Lake Street, Aurora, Illinois 60506, marked for the attention of the Privacy Contact

What happens next. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will notify you and may extend by a further 45 days, for a maximum of 90 days.

Verification. Before acting on a Right to Know, Delete or Correct request, we must verify your identity. We will ask you to provide information that matches what we already hold — typically your name, email address, and information about a recent interaction with us. We will not use information you provide for verification for any other purpose. We may decline a request we cannot verify, and we will tell you why.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written permission signed by you, and we may still ask you to verify your own identity directly with us.

9. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law. In practice:

  • Inquiry and quote records — three years from your last contact with us
  • Marketing contact records — until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we can honor your opt-out
  • Website analytics data — 14 months, in line with our Google Analytics retention setting

10. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and vetting of service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Other Important Information

Children. The Site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

Links to other sites. The Site contains links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide more prominent notice, such as a banner on the Site. We review this policy at least once a year.

Accessibility. If you need this policy in an alternative format, contact us at [email protected] and we will provide it.
